Parent to Parent provides emotional support and information for families of children with special health or developmental needs.
Skagit County Parent to Parent is a non-profit family support program. We provide emotional support, informational resources, educational seminars and social/recreational events to families whose children have special health or developmental needs. We also provide these same resources to professionals working with these families.
Learning that your child has special needs can be a life changing experience. Parents have many questions and concerns in coping with their child’s needs and their own feelings. Personal support can be helpful in coping with these challenging experiences and emotions. We can also direct you to community resources for your entire family.

Each of the employees at Skagit Parent to Parent represent the spirit of our organization: driven, committed, and acutely aware and dedicated to the supporting parents, families and children in our community who have special needs.
Heather serves as Skagit P2P Coordinator since 2002. She strives to connect with parents raising children with special health care needs and development delays through local, state and national efforts. Heather is a former elementary school teacher and the mother of three children.

Amanda serves as Skagit P2P Assistant Coordinator since 2013. Amanda works closely with parents raising children on the Autism Spectrum and with other professionals serving on the Skagit County Autism Partnership. Amanda also works in the mental health and social services field. She is the mother of two children.

Hispanic Outreach Specialist
Gabby serves as Skagit P2P Hispanic Outreach Specialist since 2011. Gabby works closely with Latino parents and is a certified Spanish interpreter and Family Resource Coordinator for SPARC. Gabby is the mother of three children.
