Support for parents of children with special needs
Collaboration with community programs greatly benefit families whose children have disabilities or chronic health needs. Parent to Parent is here to provide resources to professionals working with these families. There is not cost for this service.
Parents have numerous questions and concerns when learning that their child has a disability or chronic health need. Personal support from another parent can be helpful in coping with many challenging experiences and feelings. Parent to Parent provides support, information and relevant events for these parents.
Parent to Parent provides presentations to professionals, organizations and parent groups on the importance of parent support, advocacy, leadership and specific topics related to developmental disabilities and chronic health needs.
Parent to Parent provides informational resources to professionals working with families whose children have developmental disabilities, delays and ongoing health care needs. These services are provided at no cost and all information is kept confidential. We are here to help.
